Extremely rare Rolex Sea Dweller Double Red MK2 Chronometer with the reference 1665 in steel - Serial 2.93 Mio - this is one of the last "Thin Case" 1665 from the third batch. The case is in very good condition with lots of material - it has certainly been polished, but by an expert. The case back (some watchmaker's marks) is a so-called "mismatched case back", that means an original 1665 DRSD back from IV67, but the three digits do not match the last three of the serial number, unfortunately this used to happen more often during a service when several watches / case backs were on the workbench, at that time this was unfortunately not given the attention it deserves today. The Oyster Bracelet has the reference 9315 with 285 end links - clasp number 4/69 - the extension of the bracelet is engraved with "Patent Pending". The beautiful dial has indices and hands with a beautiful even colour tone - the dial has a wonderful brown hue depending on the incidence of light, simply a great look! The bezel is the typical Sea Dweller rotating bezel with 60-minute graduations. This Rolex is in very good overall condition. Almost as great as the watch is the absolute full set with the board box and outer carton - booklet - hangtag - punched Chronometer & guarantee certificate (sold in April 1974 in the Bahamas) - guarantee translation (both documents stamped the same) - calendar. A thin case 1665 is generally very rare, as a Full Set like this it is almost never offered. More Photos on request! This item is directly available.
