A rare Vintage Rolex Datejust Oysterquartz with the reference 17000 in steel. The watch has the serial number 6.011.xxx, which indicates that it was produced in 1979. This Datejust has a diameter of 36 mm and is powered by the Rolex Quartz Caliber 5035, which was serviced by our master watchmaker in February 2026. The battery was also replaced. The offered Oysterquartz Datejust is the rare and special “MK 1” or “three liner” version. The first watches of the reference 17000 only had the word “Oysterquartz” on the dial above 6 o'clock. It was not until around 1980 that the Oysterquartz moved under the Rolex crown at 12 o'clock – at 6 o'clock you will find the “Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified” lettering. The dial has a beautiful bright blue color, which can also take on a purple tone depending on the angle of the sunlight. Another absolute collector's dream is the unpolished original condition of this Oysterquartz – such a condition is extremely difficult to find nowadays. Holding this watch in your hands feels like traveling back in time to the 1980s! This item is directly available. The sale of this Watch is subject to differential-taxation according to §25A UStG (Value Added Tax Act).
