Elegant and extraordinary Piaget Vintage Dress Watch with the reference 9706 A 6 in 18k white gold, with a stunning onyx diamond dial. Inside is the famous Piaget hand-wound calibre 9P, which was used in many models from the 1960s and 1970s and was admired at the time for its flatness. The reference 9706 has a round case with a diamond bezel set with a total of 36 brilliant-cut diamonds; the counterpart without a diamond bezel is the reference 9701. As one would expect from the kings of stone dials, this version also has a beautiful onyx dial with 4 diamonds at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, a perfect combination with the bezel! The onyx has no cracks, chips or other damage, which is very rare for such an extremely fragile stone dial. The original Piaget bracelet and jewellery clasp in 18k white gold are also a great achievement in craftsmanship. Like all Piaget bracelets, it is perfectly crafted and has a great design. In the past, the bracelet was lengthened by a very skilled goldsmith, and this work was carried out very well; from the outside, no change in the course of the bracelet can be seen. On the case back, you can see a raised gold hallmark, which indicates that the watch has been carefully and lightly polished only a few times over its many decades. Overall, this Piaget is in very good condition with no major dents or scratches. In August 2025, our master watchmaker performed a service, without refurbishing the case or bracelet, of course. The diameter of the case is 24 mm (without the crown), and the total weight of the watch is approximately 60.1 grams. The bracelet has a total length of approximately 17.2 cm and can, of course, be shortened or lengthened by a good goldsmith if necessary. The watch comes with the original Piaget warranty certificate (sold on 1 December 1972) and a Piaget watch case. This Item is directly available.
