Rare and extremely elegant Patek Philippe ‘Officer's’ small complication with the reference 5054R-001 in 18-carat rose gold. A special highlight of the watch is the hinged case back. When opened, the Sapphire crystal reveals the Patek automatic calibre 240 PS IRM C LU. This masterpiece of the watchmaker's art offers a multitude of functions: Hour and minute display - small seconds - date hand between 6 and 9 o'clock - moon phase display - power reserve indicator. Reference 5054 was produced from 1999 to 2005 in three gold versions (yellow, white and rose gold) and platinum. Collectors consider the rose gold version and the platinum version to be the rarest and most visually appealing versions. An interesting comparison can be drawn with the iconic Nautilus 5712, which uses the same calibre with an identical dial layout. While the 5712 has gained enormous popularity in recent years, primarily due to the general popularity of the Nautilus, the 5054 embodies the classic and discreet alternative - more elegant, more restrained and, thanks to the officer's case with hinged back, entirely in the tradition of fine watchmaking. Other striking features of the officer's case are the solid screw-down case lugs and the characteristic onion crown. The example presented here is in good worn condition, with only slight signs of wear. The watch is offered on the original Patek Philippe leather strap with the original PP folding clasp in 18-carat rose gold. The first owner purchased this folding clasp in 2004 for an additional charge; normally this reference was only delivered with a pin buckle. Patek Philippe collectors are known for their careful handling, not only of the watch itself, but also of all its accessories. Accordingly, this model presents itself as a particularly well-kept collector's item with rarity value and timeless elegance. This watch is offered as a full set, with the original Patek box and outer carton - original PP guarantee certificate / Certificate of Origin (sold in February 2004 by a German PP concessionaire) - booklet / description of the 5054 - PP leather folder - booklets. This Item is directly available. The Sale of this Watch is subject to differential-taxation according to §25A UStG (Value Added Tax Act).
