Extremely rare Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar with the reference 25659BA344BA in 18k yellow gold set with 668 brilliant-cut diamonds (in total 7.33 carats - this is not an after market setting, but an original AP setting). One highlight of this watch is the extra-flat scaled AP automatic movement with centre rotor in 21k gold with a mechanically pre-programmed Perpetual Calendar with day - date - month - moon phase. This rare collector's item is in very good condition. Only four of this exceptional model were produced worldwide (3 in yellow gold and 1 in platinum), and this is also the only watch made for the German market. A so-called successor model is offered for the American market with the reference 25829BA.Z.0944BA.01 - the two watches differ in the following features: Leap year indicator - folding clasp - Trimming on the bezel (on the present watch you can see from the pictures that this is triple-set, on the successor reference the bezel is only set with one "ring" of diamonds). The price of the successor model is quoted in the USA (Royal Oak CLUB) at US$ 600,000.
